At no point in my life have I owned a car with more than 2 valves/cylinder despite owning OHC, inline, V, and even flat arrangements.

at no point in my life have i owned a fully functio nal car:p
the voyager is the closest ive ever come as it was just the power windows that were wonky... (thing was a beast to drive when the powersteering failed tho... luckily that was a cheap fix)

Hmmm.. interesting.
I’ve never had any car with more than 6-cylinders. And probably never will given current trends.

That’s amazing considering 4 valve heads have been mainstream since the 90’s.

I’ve never owned a car with a V engine.

This made me think. If you don't count my wife's car, I've never owned anything with 4 or less cylinders.

Until this past Friday I had never owned a car that wasn’t built in Sayama, Japan. Or had more than four cylinders.

OMG, you have never experienced the VTECs kick in?

I had a 5 valve for a short period. I’ve never owned a 3 valve though.

I’m almost 40 and, apart from a few early years with a 2- valve car , mine have all been 5 valves per cylinder. Because when VW finds a good thing, they take it two steps further just because they can.

I’ve never owned a vehicle with fewer than 6 cylinders and they’ve all been Vs. No inlines.

The vast majority of the cars I’ve owned have been 4V (BMW V8's mostly), but there have been a few 2V cars, most notably a 1995 BMW 750il, with a 5.4L SOHC V12— man that car was such an anachronism when it came to the drivetrain. It had 2 ignition coils and 2 distributors, one for each cylinder bank. And that setup went all the way to 2001!
Other honorable mentions: 96 Mustang GT (with the 2V Modular V8), 98 Corvette (LS1). And the oddball: a 2003 Mercedes S500 with a perplexing 3V SOHC setup.

Something I realised just now: I’ve owned cars with three, four, five and six cylinders and with three, four, five and six gears.
My present one has two valves per cylinder, but then again it also has two plug
s
per cylind
er because plugs are good.

Experienced, yes. Owned no. Drove a Prelude a couple times. Waiting for the torque was annoying.
